Aliyah brings passion and a strong work ethic to everything she does. She worked as a scientific researcher for over 8 years, and earned a PhD in cancer immunology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2018. She has 5+ years of experience as a science writer, where her expertise lies in writing career development and marketing content for the life sciences sector.
In November 2018, Aliyah began working at Addgene, the nonprofit plasmid repository, as the Marketing & Communications Manager. She also volunteers with the STEM education nonprofit, Letters to a Pre-Scientist.
In her spare time, Aliyah is an avid traveler, having visited 45 U.S. states and 16 countries. She’s a yogi and a foodie and can be found exploring both of those scenes in any new place she visits.
